The QUAD-Plot application is fully functional SHAREWARE. This means that you are honor bound to pay the registration fee if you continue to use it on a regular basis. In general the advantage to you in doing so is that you will increase the amount of quality software available at very low prices in the future by funding its development. I for one will continue to support the applications I write and develop new ones if I feel that people are honoring their side of the bargin.
If you register QUAD-Plot you can certainly experience that warm furry feeling of knowing you have done something right. But you also get the following benefits:
• Access to the PowerPC version of QUAD-Plot. This runs typically 2 to 4 times faster than emulated code.
• A personalised startup sequence with no prompts for a response.
• Free technical support by EMAIL or post.
• Registration for any minor upgrade versions of QUAD-Plot, ie. versions 1.x.
• A discount on the next major upgrade of QUAD-Plot.
• Notification of any updates to QUAD-Plot.
Fees.
The registration fees for QUAD-Plot are:
$25 per single user license,
$300 for a site license. This covers installation of QUAD-Plot on up to 30 machines at one location in your organisation.
$2000 for a world wide license. This covers installation of QUAD-Plot on any number of machines in your organisation.
How to Register.
You can register QUAD-Plot in one of two ways. If you can pay in U.K sterling you may prefer to send me a check directly (along with your name and email/postal address!). To obtain my current postal address please email me at r.harmon@kagi.com.
In all other cases you can register QUAD-Plot through my U.S. agent Kagi Shareware. The process is simple. Open the Register program that accompanies QUAD-Plot. Enter your name, your email address, and the number of single user licenses you desire for each program you wish to purchase (or Site or Word-Wide licenses). Save, Copy or Print the data from the Register program and send the data and payment to Kagi Shareware. More specifics on the Register program follow. Kagi Shareware handles the payment processing.
If paying by credit card or First Virtual, you can email or fax the data to Kagi Shareware.
Their email address is shareware@kagi.com and their fax number is +1 510 652-6589. You can either Copy the data from Register and paste it into the body of an email message or you can Save the data to a file and attach that file to an email message. There is no need to compress the data file, it's already pretty small. If you have a fax modem, you can just Print the data to the Kagi fax number.
Payments sent via email are processed within 3 to 4 days. You will receive an email acknowledgement when it is processed. Payments sent via fax take up to 10 days and if you provide a correct internet email address you will receive an email acknowledgement.
If you are paying with cash or USD check you should print the data using the Register application and send it to the address shown on the form, which is:

You can pay with a wide variety of cash from different countries but at present if you pay via check, it must be a check drawn in US Dollars. Kagi Shareware cannot accept checks in other currencies, the conversion rate for non-USD checks is around USD 15 per check and that is just not practical.
If you have a purchasing department, you can enter all the data into the Register program and then select invoice as your payment method. Print three copies of the form and send it to your accounts payable people. You might want to highlight the line that mentions that they must include a copy of the form with their payment.
Kagi Shareware can not invoice your company, you need to act on my behalf and generate the invoice and handle all the paperwork on your end.
Please do not fax or email payment forms that indicate Cash, Check or Invoice as the payment method! Without the payment, the form cannot be processed.
Payments send via regular MAIL take time to reach Kagi Shareware and then up to 10 days for processing. Again, if you include a correct email address, you will hear from Kagi Shareware when the form is processed.
Registration Codes.
When you register with Kagi Shareware you will receive an acknowledgement from Kagi if you have included your email address. You will then receive a registration code via email from the author within a day or two of receiving the acknowledgement from Kagi.
If you have no email address then you will receive no acknowledgement from Kagi (unless you check paper receipt) but you will receive the registration code from the author by regular post. Depending on where you live this may take up to a week or more from the date Kagi receives the registration fees. Please give your complete postal address including the country where you live!
Registration codes will be generated based on your name if you pay for a single user license, on your name and organisation name if you pay for a site license and on your organisation name only if you pay for a world-wide license.

DISTRIBUTION
This product must be distributed as SHAREWARE. This software may not be represented as anything other than shareware and the shareware concept must be explained in any advert or catalog that includes this software and on any packaging used to display the disk.
The unregistered version of the program may be distributed freely provided it is unaltered and distributed complete with any associated files.
Disk Distributors and dealers must have written permission before selling copies of this disk. They must immediately stop selling/distributing copies of this software upon notice from the author.
You MAY NOT DISTRIBUTE this program on any disk costing more than $5 without my explicit permission. You MAY NOT DISTRIBUTE this program on any CD without my explicit permission.
